In the morning, on Feb. 5, 2015, a joint inspection team of 7 formed by Hukou County’s Commission of Work Safety, Bureau of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, Bureau of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, visited Hukou Company for an inspection of work safety before the Spring Festival. This was the first extensive and thorough safety inspection after the modified Law of the People’s Republic of China on Work Safety was issued and put into effect. Hukou Company’s General Manager Zhu Shigan, General Manager Assistant Chen Jijun and Safety Manager Huang Yun received the inspection team.

In the meeting room on the 2nd floor, the inspection team carefully listened to Mr. Zhu’s detailed and thorough introduction to Hukou Company’s safety work. According to Mr. Zhu, Hukou Company’s work safety always sticks to the “safety first, prevention foremost, overhaul prior” policy, keeps firmly to the “people first, life first” philosophy, and constantly strengthens the implementation of the company’s system, responsibility, and early warning mechanism for safety in production. After that, Assistant Chen and Manager Huang led the inspection team to the gate station operated by the company, to have a field inspection of running condition of the equipment and facilities for safety in production, and reported the company’s safety management system’s construction and implementation to the inspection team.

After listening to the report and having the field inspection, Hukou County Commission of Work Safety’s Deputy Director General Yang Qiulin summarized this inspection. Mr. Yang first commended Hukou Company’s safety work, and posed the following requirements on its safety work before the Spring Festival: first, the particularity of Hukou Company as a gas enterprise requires the production personnel to carefully screen hidden perils in their daily work, rectify problems once found; second, the company should do daily maintenance well, to make sure the production equipment can operate safely; third, the company shouldn’t relax vigilance during holidays, but arrange the roster for duty and patrol carefully, to guarantee Hukou people’s safety for life and property.

In its production and operation in the future, Hukou Company will strengthen its safety management, ensure safe operation and make safety work practical as required by Mr. Yang.
